Bats shine for Cranbourne

CRANBOURNE’S turf-one side put in a good batting performance away against St Mary’s on Saturday, scoring 8/218 and batting out 80 overs.
The turf-three side played St Mary’s at the racecourse oval and was all out for 189 with the highlight being 105 from Shaun Petrie.
A GRADE
Playing at Hallam, Cranbourne scored 163 with Jim Alister 35, Peter Kelly 29 not out and Ronald Braham 26 doing well.
The bowling was tight, but Cranbourne fought hard with Alister the star.
In reply Hallam are 0/0 with the game in an interesting position.
C GRADE
Cranbourne played Hampton Park at Camms Reserve and was all out for 213. The batting highlight was Wil Hameetemen’s 64 and Brad Stephens 42 with the pair putting on a 104-run partnership.
D GRADE
Playing Springvale South, Cranbourne finished at 1/58 chasing 118, with R. Craven taking 3/19 and Gav. Adams 3/19.
E GRADE
Hampton Park dismissed Cranbourne for 179. Glen Dickinson made 42, Shannon Parkin 72 and Michael Buggy 31 not out.
ONE DAY
Narre North was bowled out for 136 in pursuit of Cranbourne’s 7/189.
Batting highlights included K. Lindsay 51 not out and Fred Andrews 29, with best bowling J. Disher 5/32.
UNDER 17 (1)
Doveton was bowled out for 40 with A. Brady 3/14 and A. Ciconte 4/6 combining well to take seven wickets between them and having Doveton 7/11 before the tail put on a few runs.
Cranbourne passed the total and finished on 6/64 with the main highlight being under-15 Dean McDonell 24 not out.

Cranbourne scored 7/238 with Brad Stephens 62, Martin Kelly 59 and Steven Henry 43 not out making the runs.

Cranbourne had Lyndale at 7/167 at stumps with bowlers Cameron Kelly 2/16 and Justin Hinkley 2/25 the best.

At the Lawson Poole Reserve, Cranbourne was all out for 35 against Buckley Ridges 3/15 at stumps.
A good fielding and bowling performance kept Cranbourne in the game.
