Copper’s goal not so trivial

NARRE Warren police officer Scott Dousha has a passion for all things trivial.
The senior constable is putting this love to good use as he organises a fundraising trivia night for the Casey Hospital.
Last year, Sen Const Dousha helped coordinate the inaugural police fundraising night for the Berwick Hospital.
After the success of the 2005 event, he said this year’s trivia night would be held on a much larger scale, with more prizes and participants.
“We want the community to realise we, as police officers, can play an important role in supporting the public and give something back to the people,” he said.
Funds raised from the 2005 event were used to buy five portable television/ DVD/game consoles which are used daily in both the Emergency Department and in the Paediatrics Ward.
However Sen Const Dousha said the success of the upcoming event would depend on the generosity of local traders donating goods and vouchers that could be auctioned off on the night.
“Our aim is to reach five figures, so we need all the help we can get,” he said.
The trivia night will be held on Friday, April 28. To attend or donate goods, contact Narre Warren Police Station on 9705 3111.
