A SUSPENDED learner driver is set to face criminal charges following a collision in Endeavour Hills yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
The incident occurred about 7.30am when two cars collided at the intersection of Heatherton Road and Matthew Flinders Avenue, bringing traffic to a standstill. Senior Constable Steve Wanstall said a 20-year-old Endeavour Hills woman was taken to hospital with chest pains following the collision and the other driver, a 40-year-old man, was lucky to escape without injury.
A woman will now be charged on summons with running a red light and other offences to appear in court at a later date.
