Five card trick

A DOVETON worker had a priceless moment for all the wrong reasons when his Mastercard was stolen last week.
Police said the thief entered a staff only area of a Princes Highway warehouse last week and stole the credit card from the man’s bag.
The thief then attempted to use the credit card at five different clothing and electrical stores but was denied on each occasion because of the incorrect signature.
Narre Warren Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox said several similar incidents always seem to occur in the lead up to Christmas.
“When you get to the busier months when there are more shoppers around it can be easy for people to sneak into these areas,” Det Sen Sgt Wilcox said.
He said shopkeepers and warehouse manages needed to protect staff only areas and the property stored there as best they could.
