DESPITE the warm weather a group of Narre Warren South residents came out in force on Sunday to help clean up their local reserve.
Twelve dedicated volunteers filled more than 30 bags with litter from in and around River Gum Creek Reserve in Narre Warren South. Group coordinator Phil Hughes said the volunteers had made a special effort to make the reserve, pond and creek a better environment for nearby bird life and for the enjoyment of the local community.
Mr Hughes said FoodWorks supermarket at Amberly Park provided light refreshments to all of the volunteers and he thanked them for their support.
