Teens’ party booze peril

ENDEAVOUR Hills police have warned local liquor outlets to be on the lookout for under-age teenagers trying to buy alcohol.
Sergeant John Blackburn, of Endeavour Hills police, has called on parents to take more responsibility.
“With school back, the parties have started. We had one last weekend and we already have another two registered for this weekend. We have been talking to all the liquor outlets and reminding them to be very mindful of kids trying to buy alcohol,” he said.
“Kids cannot walk the streets drinking alcohol. I also encourage parents to register their parties with the PartySafe register.
“This is a good tool for us as it allows us to patrol the area and the vicinity.”
To register a party with Endeavour Hills police, phone 9709 7666 or visit the police station on Heatherton Road.
