Thieves net $20,000

MORE than $20,000 of goods was stolen during a burglary on a Narre Warren South house last Friday.
Police believe the thieves spent considerable time in the Frederick Rise property after they broke in between 5pm and 10.40pm.
A rear window of the building was forced before items were taken from nearly every room in the house.
Police said a DVD player, jewellery, camera, computer, mobile phone, perfume and a stereo system were just some of the items stolen.
Meanwhile, thieves raided a building site in Hallam last week.
Several power tools were stolen from the Saffron Drive property between 3.10pm on 24 August and 6.50am the following day.
Police said the offenders jumped over a wire fence and stole the items from a shipping container.
The lock on the container was broken before $6500 of tools were taken.
Anyone with information about either theft is asked to contact Narre Warren Police on 9705 3114.
