A DOVETON man won $800,000 in Saturday’s Tattslotto draw after he chose the six lucky numbers from a bucket of marbles.
The man, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he used to pick his own numbers but started using his marble system 12 months ago.
“All I do each week is stick my hand in the bucket and pull out sets of six balls then mark the numbers on my ticket,” he said.
The building industry worker said he couldn’t believe he had won first division.
“When I checked the winning numbers I was really excited as I thought I had five of them, but when I showed them to my wife she noticed I had all six,” he said.
The man said he would use the money to put a deposit on a house instead of renting.
“It will also mean a lot for the future of our children, who are quite young,” he said.
Doveton News and Lotto Centre sold the winning entry.
