Cranbourne makes hay at Casey Fields

CRANBOURNE Turf 1 side amassed a huge score against Dandenong West at Casey fields.
Dieter Leinmueller opened the batting for a well-made 70, the bulk of which was scored in an excellent second wicket partnership of 158 with coach Ross Woodall, who top scored with 95. This set the stage for the middle order, who all got in the runs: Shane Murdoch (53), Danny Diwell (55) and Steve Hall (37).
Cranbourne reached 8/362cc.

Cranbourne batted first against Dandenong West and after a very shaky start was saved by a gutsy tenth wicket partnership of 63 runs between Ben Hall (36) and Cam Mills (19no). The best of the rest were Matty Johns (30) and Andy Toan (28).
Cranbourne was all out for 178. In reply Dandenong West was 1/80 at stumps.

Cranbourne played Doveton who batted first. Cranbourne’s young bowlers performed extremely well, led by spearhead Ben Redgen 3/37 and the inspirational Dustin Peebles 4/19. Leg Spinner Troy Kimball worked tirelessly to claim 2/33 off 18 good overs.
Doveton was all out for 167. Cranbourne was 1/30 at stumps.

Cranbourne bowled first, with Chris Slater (2/22) bowling well early and Mark Woodall (4/16) and Silvio Marinelli (3/17) cleaning up the rest to have Fountain Gate all out for a paltry 86 runs.
After a shaky start, Cranbourne fought hard to be only two down for 53 at stumps, with Shannon Parkin and Silvio Marinelli both on 16 overnight.

Playing Southern Pirates, Cranbourne fielded first. Hayden Cains was the pick of the bowlers with 3/7, and the Pirates were all out for 132. There was good support from Keeran Braham and Daniel Fox with two wickets each. Hayden backed up his bowling effort by taking taking three catches and a direct hit run out.
In reply Cranbourne lost only one wicket to finish at 1/30 with Chris Hale 18no overnight.

@BT Sub Sport News:ONE DAY

Cranbourne batted first but several loose shots failed to capitalise on Kevin Lindsay’s (34) solid batting performance in what was overall a lacklustre display. Wayne Stephens fought hard late and ended with 21 to give Cranbourne 147 runs to defend.
Silverton won the game with one over to spare. Shaun Petrie and Chris Taylor were the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets each.

Playing their first turf game of the season on Sunday afternoon, Cranbourne bowled first and found some long-lost form with the ball, with Jesse Fitzgerald 3/8 and Dustin Peebles 3/13 the pick of the bowlers. Will Hameeteman picked up two in a support role to have Fountain Gate all out for 130. In reply, Cranbourne was 2/13.

Playing on turf at Casey Fields, Cranbourne batted first. Led by Justin Hinkley, with a well made 57, and Jake Anderson (22) they reached 133. In reply Narre Warren are 5/83 with Steve Henry claiming 2/18 off 5 overs.

Cranbourne was all out for 143, with Adam Hanger making 46 and Sameera Wickramasinghe 32. Endeavour Hills is 1/1 in reply.

Cranbourne won the toss against Berwick and decided to bat and justified that by batting through their allotted overs to reach 8/143cc. Blake Pearce opened up and led the way with 29 and Sean Hinkley made a good 32.

Cranbourne dismissed Berwick for 86 with good bowling performances from Mitchell Viney (3/17), Denis Stone (3/5) and Michael Dempsey (2/4). In reply Cranbourne is 0/11.

After losing early wickets against Berwick, Mitchell Lindsay (21) and Brendan Wood, with a well made 35 not out steadied the ship and gave Cranbourne a respectable score of 135. Trent Brooks tore through Berwick’s openers to claim 2/2 off 2 overs to have Berwick 2/14 overnight.

Cranbourne bowled first against St Mary’s with the pick of the bowlers being David Crawford (3/28) and Jeremy Ciantar (2/7). In the field Matthew Shannon clung on to everything, taking three catches. St Mary’s was all out for 179.

Cranbourne won the toss and in an even team effort amassed a very formidable target of 6/182cc. Martin Daly retired on 25, Anooj Saddatisse struck 23, mostly in boundaries, and Matthew Crozier retired late with a rapid fire 25. Brodie McLean also got in on the runs late scoring 18.

In what was a great all round bowling performance, the standout was Alex Russo who claimed 4/11 including a hat-trick, bowling all three batsmen. Jason Buntine was more than handy with 2/6 and a special mention to Jackson Barfoot who took his first wicket. Doveton was all out for 105 and Cranbourne was 0/7 overnight.

Cranbourne batted all day against Springvale South with Chris Moore 15no the standout in a good team effort. Cranbourne finished on 8/72cc.

Playing at Casey Fields the boys put in a huge performance against Narre Nth Black with Martin Leinmueller (who obviously watches his dad) starring with 57. He was well backed by Adrian Russo (37no) and Thomas Hunter (24). Cranbourne finished on 12/266.
