Harness that Valentine’s spirit

THOSE people looking for a unique way to treat their Valentine should consider Cranbourne Harness Racing Club’s special dining offer in conjunction with its Valentine’s Day meeting on Wednesday night, 14 February.
The package, which is designed particularly with couples in mind, comprises course admission and a complimentary race book, together with a two-course meal in the committee room.
Each couple will also receive a complimentary $5 betting voucher and free beverage on arrival, with additional drinks available at bar prices.
As an added bonus, the first eight couples to reserve their place will receive a race name on the night.
“We think the concept will appeal to those who like to try something new or a little bit different,” Cranbourne Harness Racing Club chief executive Jacquie Richardson said.
“And it presents an unusual avenue to declare your love.
“What better way to show the whole world how much you care about your partner than to name a race after them.”
Ms Richardson said the race name would be an ideal way to propose for someone who wanted to make the experience especially memorable.
The cost of the Valentine’s Day dining package is just $35 per person and bookings can be made by contacting Cranbourne Harness Racing Club on 5996 8677 during business hours or via email cranbourne@hrv.org.au.
