SENIORS citizens with questions about their tax return or how to lodge a claim, can turn to the Australian Tax Office for help.
The Tax Office (ATO) has a complete network of support services that can offer you assistance.
Tax Help is a network of community volunteers who are trained to help people prepare their tax return or claims for a refund of imputation credits. Tax Help is a free service also available for those on low incomes as well as seniors, people from a nonEnglish speaking background, people with a disability, Aboriginal people, Torres Strait Islander people and students. For a quick answer the ATO’s Helplines are available to call. With TaxPack inquiries taxpayers should call the Personal Tax Info line on 13 28 61. Other helpline numbers are listed on the inside back cover of the TaxPack and in the telephone directory.
