AN ARMED bandit held up a Berwick surf shop last Thursday after making demands with a kitchen knife.
The incident occurred at the Bacbeech Surf Shop in Blackburne Square about 2pm when the man entered the shop armed with the long-handled knife.
Police said he then ran to Lyall Road.
Shop manager Greg McLeish said the thief was wearing a beanie and false beard.
“He threatened a shop assistant and got away with some cash,” he said.
No one was injured in the hold up.
