CASEY’S agricultural businesses could soon come up smelling like roses with the seeds sown to host a local stand at the next Melbourne Flower Show.
Councillors at last week’s council meeting threw their support behind the move, including deputy mayor Rob Wilson who first planted the idea.
The council voted to coordinate a display stand at the next Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show involving Casey businesses, subject to their sponsorship to fund the display stand.
Cr Wilson said the stand would give various agricultural businesses in Casey the opportunity to showcase their work and the city. A report will come back to the council at the earliest opportunity to determine the level of support for the stand.
