NARRE Warren Bowls Club had mixed results in Saturday’s RVBA pennant with a win and a loss.
Division 4, Section 6 playing away to Keysborough had a bad day’s result, losing 2/67 to 16/108.
L. Metaxas, D. Randall, R. Naismith and G. Manifold (s) lost 16/26. L. Wilcox, R. Dixon, G. Duggan and F. Appleby (s) lost 11/38. L. O’Brien, J. Hewitt, J. Green and I. Brotherton (s) lost 17/25. J. Uren, B. Brewster, D. Smith and L. McCurran (s) won 23/19.
Division 6, Section 6 played Ferntree Gully (4) at home winning well 18/119 to -/77.
S. Robinson, H. McCombe, A. Kidd and J. Hickman (s) won 37-12. L. McGeary, G. Haringsma, N. Hosmer, D. Amezdroz (s) won 28-19. S. Platt, M. Horton, J. Zanon and J. Henman (s) won 21-16. M. Graham, J. Sheahan, J. Schwennesen and S. Birkett (s) won 33-20.
Saturday’s Mixed Social Bowls winners were K. Briggs, W. Johanson and R. Hoare (s). Best last-game winners were R. Naughton, A. McGann and C. Heath (s).

Tuesday’s LVBA event was suspended due to Cup Day with Narre Warren ladies heading the ladder.

Friday was Narre Warren’s LVBA Gala Day with 22 teams competing from clubs Berwick, Cheltenham, Cranbourne RSL, Cranbourne, Dandenong City, Dandenong Club, Dandenong RSL/Rec, Edithvale, Keysborough, Noble Park, Pakenham and Narre Warren, sponsored by Gateway Funerals of East Bentleigh.
Pakenham team, W. Titcombe, M. Ingley, B. Dawson and L. Alkermade were the winners with Dandenong RSL/Rec team of T. Sutton, P. Hutchinson, T. Jenkins, D. Eastick the runners-up.
Best last-game winners were E. Arnott, I. Brotherton, B. Baldwin and R. Dixon.
