G. Hocking, A. Mortimer, B. Bemrose, N. Pugh (s) won 30-14. E. Naismith, J. Bretherton, J. Naughton, E. Gibb (s) won 33-16. D. McGann, T. Henneman, D. Farrell, S. Bell (s) won 29-17. M. Clancy, M. Horton, N. Dickie, E. Arnott (s) won 23-19.
Wednesday’s open triples winners were E. Naismith, R. Naismith, J. Schwennesen (s); runners-up were A. Mortimer, I. Brotherton, F. Fox (s). Best last-game winners were M. Rudelic, K. Murray, J. Green (s).
Friday’s RVBA triples winners were P. Pitman, D. Pitt, D. Woodfull (s); runners-up were T. Mundy, A. Bertoncello, P. Steere (s). Best last-game winners were P. Roberts, R. Forbes, J. Smythe (s).
Saturday’s mixed social bowls were limited on account of the excessive heat. Winners were J. Zannon, J. Slavko, B. Potter (s); runners-up K. Briggs, G. Haringsma, M. Horton (s).
In Saturday’s RVBA pennant round 14, the 38-degree rule came into effect at 3pm when the temperature reached 39.8, causing the whole of the metropolitan RVBA divisions to abandon play.
All teams will score nine points each and the ladder will remain the same as at the end of the previous round.
Monday’s summer indoor bowls winners were A. McKenzie, J. Smith, N. Adcock, D. Smith (s).
