Police warn of plate pinching

ENDEAVOUR Hills Police are reminding residents to make sure that number plates are secured with one-way screws as the price of petrol is set to continue to rise.
Sergeant John Blackburn said number plate thefts were directly related to the rising costs of petrol.
“Residents should ensure that their number plates are secured with one-way screws and if possible park their cars in the driveway or in garages,” Sergeant Blackburn said.
He also said neighbours and passersby should be aware of individuals hanging around cars in streets and at shopping centres.
“If someone looks to be doing the wrong thing call 000 or centre management,” Sgt Blackburn said.
