Sharing Games spirit

AUSTRALIAN athletics champion Raelene Boyle visited Hallam last Friday to help Casey residents share in the spirit of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
The iconic sprinter won seven gold and two silver medals at four Commonwealth Games.
She also won a silver medal in the 200 metres at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City and silvers in the 100m and 200m at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
Ms Boyle met with fans, signed autographs and talked about next March’s Games at the Hallam Taverner Hotel as part of the Tabaret ‘Be A Part Of It’ campaign.
The campaign aims to encourage all Victorians to get behind the Commonwealth Games and everyone who met Boyle went into the running to win two tickets to the 10-day event.
