Winners’ reasons show heart

OUR nine other first-aid course winners all had a desire to learn CPR for a variety of important reasons.
Many were parents who said their motivation for wanting to learn the life-saving skill was so they could care for their children.
A grandmother highlighted her will to know CPR because she regularly babysits her one-year-old grandson.
Two winners had an interest in childcare and believed their employment prospects would be higher if they had first-aid accreditation.
And the mother of a 10-year-old girl diagnosed with a heart condition wanted to know CPR in case her daughter fell sick at home.
All winners will attend the first-aid course at Lynex Health Care and Training Services in Narre Warren.
