Artists take their place to face the public

A GROUP of local artists will be showcasing their work in an art exhibition at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick.
Faces and Places is a free painting exhibition by 4ARTSAKE, a group of student artists from the Cranbourne Community Centre.
The official opening kicks off at 7.30pm on Friday 18 April and will showcase the works of emerging artists Christine Tyminski, Rob Vertigan, Ann Ware, Denise McPhee, Kerri Boyle, Lisa Moore and Jenny Shears.
Musical entertainment will be provided on the night and Casey councillor Rob Wilson will officially open the exhibition.
The exhibition goes from 18 to 27 April and the gallery hours are 10am to 4pm.
Ms Moore said her inspiration comes from the human form.
“I think the human form is just beautiful. I paint in nudes and bright colours,” she said.
Ms Moore has won several art shows including the Dandenong and Doveton shows and one of her pieces was purchased by the Endeavour Hills Police Station.
All art work on display at the exhibition can be purchased on the night.
