Burglar hits five houses: police

POLICE believe the same person burgled five Endeavour Hills homes earlier this month.
Two homes in Currie Avenue, one in Childs Rise and another two in nearby Ravenhill Crescent were broken into between Friday 30 June and Saturday 1 July.
A mobile phone, laptop computer, a navigation unit, an iPod and a camera were stolen from a Ravenhill Crescent home when entry was gained through a glass sliding door.
A $1200 car fridge was stolen from the other Ravenhill Crescent address after a garage was broken into.
On three other occasions the thief left empty-handed.
At one Currie Avenue home, a resident returned home to discover slippers had been disturbed in the front hallway and someone had been inside the house.
Nothing was stolen and police believe the thief left through a back laundry door.
At the other Currie Avenue address, entry was through a back door after a lock was pushed in.
Drawers and cupboards in all bedrooms were ransacked but it appeared nothing was stolen.
Police said the location of the burglaries, the method of entry and the items stolen led them to believe that the same person was involved in each.
Anyone with information regarding the burglaries has been asked to contact Narre Warren CIU, phone 9705 3111 or Crime Stoppers, phone 1800 333 000.
