Charges over plate and petrol thefts

NARRE Warren police interviewed and charged three people last week over more than 20 counts including number-plate thefts and petrol drive-offs.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox of Narre Warren CIU said a 20-year-old Box Hill man was interviewed last Wednesday about a series of number-plate thefts and drive-offs in Endeavour Hills, Cranbourne, Dandenong and Pakenham.
He was later charged with three counts of theft from a motor car and six counts of theft and was to face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 29 July.
In a separate incident a 16-year-old from Berwick was interviewed by Narre Warren police last week and charged with 12 counts of theft from a motor car and one theft of a motor car.
He was to appear at Dandenong Children’s Court on 14 July.
On Friday, police interviewed a 27-year-old Narre Warren South woman about a spate of incidents at Narre Warren and Beaconsfield businesses throughout April and May.
The woman was later charged with five counts of deception and one count of theft. She was granted bail and was to appear in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court in August.
