Evening market for cricketers

THE Maranatha Methodist Cricket Club (MMCC) will host a twilight market tomorrow night (Friday) to help raise funds for its junior teams.
Junior coordinator for the MMCC’s junior cricket club Natalie Dickson said the night-time event would have more than 20 market stalls with people selling Tupperware, children’s clothing, scrap books and other party plan items.
Entry is free and the canteen will also be selling lots of great food to market goers.
An under 11 team will also play Hampton Park on Friday night providing some entertainment and there will be a door prize and raffle.
Ms Dickson said the club hoped to raise $500 which would be used to purchase new equipment in time for next cricket season.
During the twilight market young players will also be able to sign up with the Casey Central Junior Football Club (CCJFC) and there will also be registrations for Auskick (boys and girls aged five and above).
The CCJFC will hold registrations for boys Aussie Rules football — under 9, under 10, under 11, under 12, under 13, under 14 as well as their under 18 girls football team.
Players can also sign up for Goalkick Soccer (boys and girls aged five and above), boys Junior Soccer — under 8, under 10, under 12, under 14, under 16 and girls Junior Soccer — under 8, under 10, under 12, under 14, under 16.
The Twilight Market runs from 6pm until 8.30pm at Strathaird Reserve, Community Parade, Narre Warren South.
