Footy fever rules

TO celebrate the climax of the 2006 AFL Premiership season students at a Narre Warren South primary school donned their favourite footy colours recently.
Strathaird Primary School students ended Term 3 with a football parade, marching with their fellow AFL supporters.
Both teachers and students supported the exciting event with much enthusiasm with supporters of the Collingwood football club even making their own team banner for Magpie fans to run through.
St Kilda followers, led by principal Peter Wood, also donned masks of St Kilda footballer Robert Harvey to highlight their allegiance.
On Footy Day students were also asked to think of students less fortunate than themselves.
Everyone who dressed in their team’s footy colours were encouraged to donate a gold coin to support State Schools Relief.
All money raised goes to provide students in need with uniforms and shoes.
