WOMEN suffering from diabetes can get a lift out of a new Narre Warren-based fitness program.
The official launch of Lift for Life takes place today (Thursday) at Fernwood Women’s Health Club and will continue on a regular basis.
Women with type one diabetes or those with a higher risk of developing the disease are ideally suited for the Lift for Life program.
The International Diabetes Institute (IDI) has formulated the sessions that are conducted in small groups of about 10 people.
Lift for Life officials said possible benefits from continued workouts could be an increase in muscle strength and tone as well improvements in flexibility, balance and posture.
For more information on the program call 9705 1999 to arrange a program kit.
