Milk bar shake-up

NARRE Warren Police have charged a 36-year-old man after a search warrant was executed on his Noble Park milk bar earlier this month.
The man, who lives at the back of his Princes Highway business, is charged with possessing proceeds of crime and handling stolen goods.
Police said they found a large amount of stolen property, including shaver blades, Panadol and confectionary, on the premises.
Narre Warren Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Garry Kear said the man had bought the stolen goods from several different people over a two-year period.
“This should serve as a warning to traders in the area to be aware of suspicious people trying to sell goods,” he said.
He said the best option for wary storeowners was to refuse the property and call police.
The Noble Park man will face court at a later date.
