THE Victorian Ladies’ Bowls Association’s round seven Pennant match played at Narre Warren against Cranbourne saw a good win by Narre Warren 102-82 to remain ladder leader.
J. Bretherton, B. Baldwin, J. Naughton and E. Gibb (s) drew 24-24. D. Platt, E. Naismith, M. Horton and S. Bell (s) won 26-19. D. McGann, P. Uren, T. Henneman and K. Murray (s) won 24-23. M. Clancy, W. Haringsma, N. Dickie and E. Arnott (s) won 28-16.
Wednesday’s nominated pairs winners were R. Dixon and J. Norman. Runners-up were S. Bell and N. Bell and best last game winners were P. Uren and J. Uren.
Friday’s nominated open triples winners were C. Christofferson, D. Pitt and D. Woodfull (s). Best last game winners were P. Steere, T. Munday and A. Bertoncello (s).
Saturday’s mixed social winners were W. Okun, C. Cowlsy and G. Miller (s). Best last game winners were K. Harrison, B. Potter and N. Bell.
Saturday’s Royal Victorian Bowls Association Pennant round seven played at home against Burden Park in Division Four, Section Six saw a comfortable win to Narre Warren 18/123 to 0/66.
J. Uren, B. Brewster, D. Smith and L. McCurran (s) won 30-22. R. Dixon, N. Hosmer, L. Wilcox and G. Duggan (s) won 26-16. P. O’Day, J. Hewitt, J. Green and I. Brotherton (s) won 30-14. S. Robinson, D. Randall, R. Naismith and G. Manifold (s) won 37-14.
Division Six, Section Six played away to Mt Waverley to record a good win overall 16/110 to 2/76.
S. Platt, M. Horton, P. Castricum and J. Henman (s) won 40-17. J. Sheahan, C. Heath, N. Graham and J. Schwennesen (s) won 25-14. A. Kidd, H. McCombe, G. Moxey and J. Hickman (s) lost 21-26. S. Bray, R. Bligh, L. McGeary and D. Amezdroz (s) won 24-19.
Barefoot Bowling will be available each Friday afternoon during the rest of the daylight saving period from 7 Decemebr starting at 5.30pm.
