Narre’s narrow loss

NARRE Warren’s under-15 (3) team ended the season with a fighting six-run semi-final loss to Hampton Park at the weekend.
Best players were Luke Clarke, Laurent Campbell, Nick Shirt, Tim Vrec, Jamayne Vancuylenburg, Luke Dovaston, Jake Vigilanti, Jacob Waller, Matt Rettallick, Andrew Cook, Sean O’Neill and James Morrow.

Playing Cranbourne in the semi-final, Narre Warren lost the toss and was sent in to bat.
After a solid start, the team lost their first wicket at 56.
It continued to build partnerships and after their 40 overs were a competitive 174.
Best of the bats were Tom Doveston (19), Ryan Quirk (25), Aaron Concalves (25) and Tom Spreckley (13).
Cranbourne then went for a hit and despite some very ordinary bowling, the team did well to keep it to 8/134.
Best of the bowlers were Jesse Muzzolini (2/5 off four overs), Jackson Carter (2/17 off four overs), Brendon Marrell (1/7 off four overs) and Travis Johnston (1/3 off four overs).
