VEHICLE owners are again being urged to be vigilant in protecting their property after another busy week for theft from motor cars.
Narre Warren Police reported three different incidents where thieves stole property from cars.
The first theft occurred at Narre Warren railway station on 10 October between 6.45am and 6pm.
A GPS navigation device, worth $800, was stolen after a driver’s side window was smashed on a 2001 Holden Commodore.
The second happened in a Kallara Crescent driveway early last Friday morning when a white 2005 Holden sedan had its rear quarter window smashed. A Canon camera, radio and other electrical items, valued at a total of $3500, were taken from the Narre Warren location.
Police are also investigating a theft from a motor car in Archibald Avenue, Narre Warren.
The theft, which occurred between 6pm on 13 October and 1pm the next day, resulted in a $600 DVD player being stolen from a blue Holden coupe.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox of Narre Warren Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) said the three thefts were a timely reminder for everyone not to leave valuable items in a car.
