A RUNAWAY car rolled down a hill and crashed into a Berwick home last week with a two-year-old boy inside.
Police were this week determining how the car came to roll down Quarry Hill Drive and into a unit on William Road last Thursday after it and the boy were left unattended.
The boy was not injured.
The unit’s letterbox and front entrance were damaged by the collision and the City of Casey’s building inspection unit was called out to secure the unit. Narre Warren SES also provided assistance.
Sergeant Pat McGavigan of Casey Traffic Management Unit said police continued to investigate the circumstances of the collision and were still unsure what had caused the car to roll.
