Anzac spirit to shine everywhere

A TOUCH of sadness will be mixed in with a sense of pride when Anzac Day is commemorated at several locations within the City of Casey next week.
Several RSL branches will stage community activities to honour the Diggers who served and died for the nation.
Casey mayor Janet Halsall said Friday, 25 April was a vitally important day for the country.
“It is the day that we remember the sacrifices that so many Australians made in serving their country in times of war. The day commemorates one of the most significant moments of our nation’s history, the anniversary of the first major military action by the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps forces during World War I,” Cr Halsall said.
