A DOVETON man was charged by police last week following a series of fires in the Box Hill area.
Police said 22-year-old Kaine Thow has been charged with five counts of arson. Box Hill North resident Daniel Giammona, 21, was also charged with five counts of arson.
The arson charges relate to a series of fires on 14 March in the Box Hill central business district as well as a fire at the Box Hill TAFE.
Both men are to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
