JARRYD Leeworthy’s excellent 60 failed to save Narre Warren’s turf-three side in its game at Doveton North on Saturday.
Losing the toss Narre Warren was sent in to bat and bowled out for 115.
In reply Doveton North came out swinging, losing their first wicket at 1/48 in the sixth over.
Fighting hard, Narre Warren eventually bowled Doveton out for 146 with Dwayne Hughes 3/18, Ben Charles 3/32 and Travis Brinkmann 2/41.

Narre Warren travelled to Noble Park to take on Buckley Ridges, won the toss and sent the opposition in to bat.
Bowling well Narre Warren had the Ridges 5/138 after 40 overs at tea.
After tea, Narre bowled well, taking 5/62 off 14 overs to have Buckley Ridges all out for 200.
Pick of the bowlers were Matt Clarke with 4/30 off six overs and Brendan Jarman 3/48 from 19 overs.
With 19 overs to face, Narre Warren got off to its best start of the season losing only the one wicket of Mick Teeuw at 44 for a well-made 22 and at stumps was 1/59.

Playing fourth-placed Maranatha Methodist, Narre Warren bowled first after losing the toss.
Chris Edwards managed a wicket first ball and set the scene for another excellent performance in the field.
Maranatha Methodist was bundled out for 78.
Chief destroyers were quick Josh Amsterdam with 3/10 and spinner Nathan King with 3/4.
With 14 overs to face Narre Warren batted positively to finish at 1/54 with Nathan King 41 not-out and Jordan Toole seven not-out.

Playing Endeavour Hills at Berwick Fields, Narre Warren lost the toss and was asked to bowl.
Narre’s opening bowlers began brilliantly to have Endeavour Hills 3/23 after 10 overs.
The bowling and fielding started to falter and to Endeavour Hills’ credit started to get partnerships and to reach 6/150 after 37 overs.
However to Narre Warren’s credit, it bounced back to have Endeavour Hills all out for 178 in the 45th over.

Bowling first Narre Warren started out slowly and struggled for the rest of the day’s play.
The opposition did bat well, but Narre’s bowling did not help, allowing Fountain Gate to reach 5/155.
Narre Warren will need to bat well to keep its finals’ hopes alive.

Playing HSD, Narre Warren bowled and fielded well, holding catches to get the opposition all out for 82.
Pick of the bowlers were Jacob DeSilva (2/4), Joshua Dow (2/3) and Bailey Shaw (2/14).
At end of the day’s play Narre Warren finished 3/35 with Mitchell Shirt six not-out and Zach Allen 19 not-out.

Playing Berwick at Berwick Primary School, Narre Warren lost the toss and was sent into bat and after 40 overs, finished on 6/182.
In a great team effort, there were many good batting performances. Travis Johnston top scoring with 41, Mitchell Healey 25, Tom Dovaston 25 and Mitchell Dempster 25 making four retirees for the day.

The Blacks played Berwick Springs at Sweeney two, losing the toss and were asked to bowl.
In another great bowling performance, Narre restricted the opposition to 68 off 22 overs.
Best bowlers of the night were Hamish West 1/1 from two overs, Billy Spreckley 2/5 off two overs and Cameron Marshall 1/3 off two overs.
Narre Warren batted and after its 22 overs finished up making 90.
Best of the bats for the night were Cameron Fernando eight, Tom Marshall seven and Joshua West 15.

This weeks game was against HSD at home.
Narre Warren’s captain for the week, Yasith Don lost the toss and HSD elected to bowl first.
An excellent batting performance by all the boys saw their total pass 100 for the third time this season, demonstrating the improvement all have made throughout the season.
In the field, all the bowlers once again bowled well and were supported by their fielders with the standout bowler being Dylan Alexander who took his first ever hat-trick.
