POLICE arrested and charged a man last week following a string of purse thefts from work places across the City of Casey.
Staff at St John of God Hospital in Berwick, The $2 Shop in Fountain Gate and Clarke Rubber and Toy World in Narre Warren all had items taken earlier this month. The 27-year-old Carrum Downs man is charged with nine counts of burglary and nine counts of theft. He will also face one charge of possessing the proceeds of crime. The matters will be heard at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
