Stroll to show support

THE City of Casey is calling all mums, dads and babies to come and help create a world record in a show of solidarity and support for other new mums.
The World’s Greatest Pram Stroll will commence at 10am on Saturday, 1 October 2005 at Myuna Farm, Doveton.
City of Casey mayor Neil Lucas said the event would recognise the many challenges that could arise after childbirth, including social isolation, and would encourage new mums to exercise in the fresh air and meet other parents from their local area.
He said this popular event was also being held concurrently at 12 different locations across Victoria.
The event at Myuna Farm includes children’s entertainment, a guest presentation by Dr John Cheetham and the walk.
The day starts at 10am and finishes at 12.30pm.
The event is being organised by the Mothers of Casey Alliance group in partnership with the City of Casey, BestStart and the YMCA.
