A very classy performance

ENDEAVOUR Hills teacher Karen Jones put her best foot forward at this year’s eleventh annual Victorian Teachers’ Games.
The grade-four teacher at Mossgiel Park Primary School was one of more than 2000 teachers from across Victoria to compete in the games and came home with a silver medal after competing in the four-kilometre run.
About 20 teachers from Mossgiel Park competed in the games in Geelong during the recent school holidays, with the women’s netball team also achieving success – winning a silver medal.
This was a big thrill for the team that two years ago received a bronze medal at the games.
Teachers also competed in the lawn bowls and ten-pin bowling during the three-day event.
School principal John Wall said he was very pleased with the outcome and congratulated all teachers for taking part in the games.
Ms Jones said she was pleased with the result and it was great for teachers to spend time together outside of school.
“It is really good for staff morale to all do something together away from school,” she said.
