Artists entitled to be happy with CD

By Kelly Yates
CASEY singers showed off their talents during the official launch of the Casey Untitled CD at The Factory in the Casey Indoor Leisure Complex in Cranbourne on 11 April.
The CD, which was funded by the City of Casey and the department of human services, showcases the musical talent in Casey.
The launch kicked off at 7.30pm and attracted more than 100 people.
The artists featured on the CD performed live on the night, including 2007 Australian Idol semi-finalist, Madison Pritchett.
The proud Endeavour Hills 17-year-old wrote the song Meant to Be and described it as a typical love song.
She said she enjoyed being a part of the CD because it gave young local musicians the chance to be heard.
The variety CD has songs from genres such as hip hop, classical, pop, rock and jazz.
Community development coordinator for the Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre Terri Fallows said she wanted the CD to be an ongoing community initiative.
The CD costs $10 and is available from the Doveton Learning Centre and the City of Casey customer service centres.
