Artists see the big picture

KAMBRYA College students had a successful weekend at the Dandenong Show this week taking home more than 13 art awards.
Head of the Arts Domain Renee Spencer said that it was pleasing to see that so many students took up the opportunity to enter their work at the show.
“We have so many talented artists. The students entered work that included pastel drawings, digital photography, model houses, textiles and paintings,” Ms Spencer said.
Year 10 student Debra’s pastel drawing won first prize in the adult section after her artwork was judged too big to meet the requirements for junior competition.
“It was great that she still won first prize in the adult competition. It just proves how talented our students are,” Ms Spencer said.
