CARNAGE on Casey’s roads and domestic violence in the city’s neighbourhoods has led Casey Council to investigate launching a safety campaign.
Councillor Rob Wilson successfully moved a motion at last week’s council meeting calling on officers to look at the possibilities of conducting campaigns, along with local residents, to make Casey’s roads safer.
Cr Wilson said the City of Casey had some of the worst statistics in Victoria in terms of domestic violence and the road toll. “The police are working overtime, but it is time we launched some safety campaigns,” he said.
A report is due back to council in March.
