Pair arrested in police swoop

THE Casey Response Unit swooped on a stash of drugs, weapons and stolen property during raids on several houses last week.
The two-month covert surveillance work, dubbed Operation Spunks, concluded last Monday week with four people – two Cranbourne residents – arrested and charged.
Police officers executed four search warrants across properties in Cranbourne, Mentone and Ballarat.
As a result of the raids Cranbourne man Slobodan Dordevic, 37, was arrested and charged with 62 offences in relation to the sale of illegal firearms, trafficking ecstasy, amphetamines, cannabis and LSD, possession of drugs and weapons and burglary and receiving stolen goods.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
A 25-year-old Cranbourne man has also been charged with nine counts in relation to trafficking amphetamines in the Cranbourne area.
A 32-year-old Mentone woman and a 23-year-old Ballarat man were also arrested during the raids. Both will face an array of drug charges in court at a later date.
