Pennant pride for Narre Warren

THE final pennant rounds of RVBA for this season saw Narre Warren Bowls Club remain in division six, section six for next season after finishing in third position.
Division four, section six finished on top of the ladder and played off against Broadmeadows at Melbourne on Saturday, 1 March for further honours.
However, after a concerted effort overall Narre Warren was unsuccessful, losing 5/87 to 13/104, but will go into division three next season.
P. O’Day, R. Bligh, F. Appleby and I. Brotherton (s) drew 23/23.
M. Graham, L. Wilcox, G. Duggan and D. Taylor (s) won 27/19.
R. Naismith, D. Randall, B. Brewster and G. Manifold (s) lost 10/39.
G. Miller, J. Hewitt, O. Smith and L. McCurran (s) won 27/23.

Tuesday’s LVBA pennant round 17 being the final for the season on Tuesday, 26 February played at home, saw a good win 103 to 72 by Narre Warren over Hampton Park to finish on top of the ladder.
M. Clancy, B. Baldwin, J. Naughton and E. Gibb (s) drew 24/24.
E. Naismith, A. Mortimer, M. Horton and S. Bell (s) won 29/7.
D. McGann, P. Uren, T. Henneman, K. Murray (s) lost 25/29.
W. Haringsma, J. Bretherton, N. Pugh and E. Arnott (s) won 25/12.
