Police probe fire

A DOVETON house was destroyed by fire last week.
Neighbours reported the fire in Jacaranda Street about 8pm but the rental property was fully engulfed in flames by the time CFA crews arrived.
Police are still investigating the cause of the fire and have interviewed a 32-year-old Doveton man during their inquiries.
Narre Warren Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox said they would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the fire.
He said there was a dispute between the occupants of the house shortly before the fire started.
Police said the blaze caused about $150,000 damage, with all the contents destroyed.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Narre Warren Police on 9705 3111.
