Residents plan for the future

ENDEAVOUR Hills residents can have a say on how they want their town centre to look in the future.
They now have until 16 April to comment on the City of Casey’s draft Endeavour Hills Town Centre Structure Plan to give their opinion on how they want the town developed.
Casey mayor Colin Butler said the draft plan would guide the growth and development of the town centre.
“Its vision is to establish the centre as the prime focus for residents, businesses and visitors, including a diverse range of retail, commercial, leisure and community facilities and outdoor spaces,” he said.
The Structure Plan highlights improved pedestrian places and access, better links between the leisure precinct and the shopping centre, opportunities for medium-density housing, commercial uses within the centre and improved landscape and environs.
“The plan will guide future development at the Endeavour Hills Town Centre, turning it into an integrated activity centre.
“However, to ensure the needs and visions of the community are met, I encourage residents, organisations and local groups to provide their input,” Cr Butler said.
A copy of the exhibited structure plan can be inspected at the City of Casey customer service centres at Narre Warren, Narre Warren South and Cranbourne.
It is also available for viewing on Casey’s website at www.casey.vic.gov.au/publicnotices.
Written submissions should be sent to Jocelyn Blair, Strategic Development, City of Casey, PO Box 1000, Narre Warren, 3805.
For more information contact senior strategic planner Jocelyn Blair on 9705 5200.
