Roadshow a laugh a minute

THERE were laughs galore at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.
The sell-out event was held on Friday 18 April at the Cranbourne Community Theatre.
City of Casey mayor Cr Janet Halsall said the Comedy Festival Roadshow was a fantastic success.
“There wasn’t a quiet moment in the theatre as the comedians made jokes about the inane things in life such as coffee, spelling, childhood and the way people dance,” she said.
“All in all, it was a fantastic night out full of energy, laughter and enjoyment.”
The two-hour show reflected the quality that the best of the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival had to offer.
Comedian Dave Williams was the master of ceremonies for the evening with performances by Damian Callinan, Anthony Menchetti, Celia Pacquola and Dave Thornton.
