MORE than 600 Strathaird Primary School students took part in an Anzac Day ceremony at their Narre Warren South campus last week.
A highlight of the ceremony was a short movie which depicted school captains Luke McConnell and Akanksha Kalia role playing a moving moment from the battlefields of World War I.
Teacher Christine Trimnell said: “I chose to create a video of the students to get across the message that life was hard for both the soldiers at war and also for those left at home.
“By researching, then role-playing real people it gave a strong element of authenticity to the movie.”
Vietnam veteran Rod Charles also spoke to the children during the ceremony.
