Man knocked out in brawl

A MAN was knocked unconscious during a violent brawl outside a Berwick nightspot on Sunday morning.
Two groups of men clashed outside Castello’s Berwick Springs, home of popular nightclub Blitz, about 1.30am.
A 24-year-old Lilydale man was punched in the head during the fight and was transported to the Dandenong Hospital suffering head injuries.
The brawl began when one group, which has left the Berwick Springs estate in Clyde Road, was approached by another group walking towards the entrance of the Blitz nightclub.
The second group had walked from Hotel Eden, another Berwick nightclub, in Gloucester Avenue.
The stoush that erupted spilled into the neighbouring BP service station, across Clyde Road and into Bemersyde Drive.
Police are wanting to speak to a man described as being of Asian appearance, and are investigating video footage from Castello’s and the BP.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone with information should call Detective Senior Constable Ray Ross at Cranbourne Police on 5991 0661.
