Interclub bowls at Narre Warren

ON Saturday, 7 June, Narre Warren Bowls Club played its first interclub for the season with four mats in operation curtailed somewhat by the holiday weekend.
Winners were local team of A. Mortimer, P. Yates, J. Naughton and D. Farrell (s) and runners-up also a local team of N. Adcock, D. Pouponneau and J. Norman (s).
Tuesday’s indoor mixed bowls winners were N. Adcock, N. Needham, P. Golding and J. Carmichael (s).
Sunday’s indoor mixed bowls winners were D. Pouponneau, M. Payne, N. Dickie and J. Norman.
Wednesday’s outdoor mixed bowls winners were G. Haringsma, J. Morris and A. White (s). Runners-up were Q. Morris, S. Robinson and L. McCurran (s).
Best last-game winners were S. Platt, R. Pompe and B. Frazer (s).
Saturday’s outdoor mixed bowls winners were E. Storey, J. Uren and N. Hosmer (s). Runners-up were W. Johansson, B. Potter and A. White (s).
Best last-game winners were C. Bell, R. Pigdon and J. Zanon (s).
Thursday’s pennant round seven saw Narre Warren (1) playing Mulgrave (1) away and losing on the last end to go down 18-20.
Narre Warren (2) played away to Highett (1) and had a comfortable win 42-18.
