Enthusiasm knows no bounds

THIS year marks the 20th anniversary of the annual Riding of the Bounds event.
The local community will get the opportunity to take part in the age-old tradition on Sunday 17 August.
The event starts and finishes at Berwick’s Akoonah Park with registrations from 8am and the ride beginning at 10am.
The yearly event attracts more than 230 riders of all ages and levels.
The 15km course takes about two and a half hours to complete.
City of Casey mayor Janet Halsall said the event had been held in Casey’s Sister City, Berwick-Upon-Tweed in the United Kingdom, for more than 550 years.
During the ride, participants will inspect the boundaries of the City of Casey and will have the opportunity to discover local properties to which riders would not normally have access.
An official awards ceremony will also take place at the end of the event.
For more information contact City of Casey’s customer service on 9705 5200.
