CASEY Council will investigate the possibility of extending a section of the Endeavour Hills Library.
The decision was made at a council meeting on 1 July.
A draft plan, along with associated costs, is set to be presented to a general meeting in September.
At the same July meeting, a decision to delay the announcement of an Endeavour Hills Neighbourhood Centre building works contract was also made.
Councillors will consider a report on the short-term and long-term goals of the centre, including sources of funding for any works, before any contract is awarded.
