Cranbourne sprinter Apache Cat made it three consecutive Group 1 wins at Randwick on Saturday with a stunning victory in the $500,000 T.J. Smith Stakes. The five-year-old, trained by Greg Eurell, blitzed the star-studded field over the 1200-metre trip with a burst of speed 200m from the post. Apache Cat, revelling in the soft ground, moved up to the leaders and shot straight past them to beat Reigning To Win and champion sprinter Takeover Target.
