MOST people only get to dream of playing on the MCG on that one day in September.
But for one Berwick Auskick participant that fantasy will become a reality on AFL grand final day.
Aaron Oliphant, 7, will be the envy of most his mates when he gets to kick, mark and handball on the hallowed turf during half time of the main game.
The Officer youngster won his way on to the MCG by simply being part of the AFL Auskick program.
Aaron will travel to Melbourne to participate in activities from Thursday of grand final week.
AFL Auskick Ambassador Robert ‘Dipper’ Dipierdomenico said being in Melbourne for the biggest week in Australia’s sporting calendar was an experience never to forget.
“If you love your football, then there is no other place to be in September than Melbourne.
“These 94 kids get to experience something that most supporters could only dream about when they take to the MCG at half-time during the 2007 Toyota AFL grand final,” Dipper said.
Aaron will also join Dipper in the 2007 AFL Toyota Grand Final Parade as well as visiting AFL World and participating in the grand final pre-match entertainment.
If he is lucky enough, Aaron will be one of 22 children involved who will also have the opportunity to present a premiership medal to one of the players from the winning team.
